Here's a story of a girl,
Living in the lonely world,
A hidden note, A secret crush,
A little boy who talks too much.

Well, I'm standing in the crowd,
And when you smile I check you out,
But you don't even know my name,
You're too busy playing games,

And I want you too know,
If you lose your way,
I won't let you go.

If I cut my hair,
If I change my clothes,
Will you notice me?

If I bite my lip,
If I say hello,
Will you notice me?

There are many new inventions in recent years. The three most important technologies to me are handphone, television and computer.

A handphone is light and portable. It is convenient as I do not need to look for public phones. More importantly, I can use it in cases of emergencies such as in the event of a car accident, robbery or when I am stuck in a lift. I can also use the handphone to play games, email, surf the Internet, listen to music and watch videos. I can even use it to set reminders or set the alarm to wake myself up in the morning. Best of all, I love to use my handphone to send short messages to my friends.

A television provides people with entertainment. It is also a form of relaxation. I love to watch comedy shows, dramas and variety shows. I can also learn about what is happening in the world by watching news or documentaries. I can also learn more about other countries and their cultures without the need to travel there.

The computer is the best form of communication as we get information within seconds and communicate with people overseas in a fast and efficient way. I can do this though MSN, email, facebook and friendster. By using the webcam, I can even see my friends' or relatives' faces. I can do research and do my homework. I can download games, music, movies and dramas.

There is so much that can be done with these three favourite technologies of mine. I definitely cannot do without them!

Recently, there was unrest in Thailand. The red-shirt protesters wanted Thailand PM Abhisit to step down. The anti-government protesters announced full weekend of protests starting with a massive procession and "blood painting". They had collected eighty gallons of blood to splash on Mr PM Abhisit's house and other government buildings. To them, it was a symbolic sacrifice for democracy.

When I read all about the news, I felt that they should not waste the blood as many people are in need of blood transfusion. Thailand's tourism will also be affected as many tourists will avoid visiting the country due to violent street protests. Even students in Singapore had to cancel their trip to Thailand for safety reasons. Thailand's economy will also be affected. I am thankful that I am living in Singapore led by a good government. We have peace and do not have any protesters on our streets. Our Singapore government is also not corrupt, unlike Thailand's government. Thailand's reputation as "The Land Of Smiles" is now known as "The Land Of Frowns". Having peace in a country is very important to me.

My name is shaoyi. I am 13 years old this year. I like drawing. Drawing is something I like a lot.Drawing makes all my stress go away, maybe that is why I love drawing so much. When I am drawing I feel like I am in another world, a world without stress and problems. I learn drawing for already six years. This year is already the seventh year. Drawing is a very good thing to learn. It will let you to have lesser stress. When I feel boring or unhappy, I will take out a piece of paper and draw something on it. It will make my problem be gone and it will let me feel that I have something to do and don't feel boring any more, I also draw during my free time.
